Swift Performance will add the generated rules at the beginning of htaccess, to be able to load very early.
However in some cases you may need to add some rules before Swift Performance. For this you can use Custom Htaccess option.
For example it is recommended to add force SSL and www/non-www redirect rules here to avoid strange redirect issues.
