Swift Performance serve some contents via PHP. For example cached AJAX requests, dynamic cached pages, etc.
It is important to load Swift Performance very first, before any other plugin. For this Swift Performance creates a Must Use Plugin which loads the very early. It will be located in wp-content/mu-plugins/swift-performance-loader.php
In rare cases it can cause issues, that because it is optional. Otherwise you should enable it for the best performance.
